-Pet Contract- Whereby it is agreed as follows:
That the Breeder
will sell and the Purchaser(s) will buy the Puppy detailed below.
That the
Purchaser(s) agrees to and understand(s) the following
conditions:
Validation of the
guarantee requires examination of your puppy by the vet of your choice and at
the purchaser’s expense within 72 hours (3 days) of the delivery date. This
veterinary examination is mandatory to confirm that your puppy was not sick or
injured at the time of delivery.
The breeder
guarantees the puppy until
2 years of age against all congenital or hereditary
defects; however, we stand behind our dogs for the life of the
dog.
If puppy has
congenital or hereditary defects, it will be replaced with first available puppy
of the same value from the breeders stock, as soon as possible. The original puppy must be returned
before a new puppy can be delivered with the puppies registration signed over to
the breeder. No one may keep the original puppy, it must be
returned.
The guarantee
against transmissible diseases such as parvovirus for example, is valid for a
period of 7 days starting on the day of delivery, since the normal incubation
period for transmissible diseases is 5 to 7 days. For example, if first signs of
parvovirus were to show on a puppy 12 or 15 days from delivery, the puppy could
not have carried that disease from the breeder's premises and incubate it for
that long before showing signs of the disease.
The Purchaser(s)
further warrant that the Pet puppy:
- Will be kept as
a Pet in appropriate conditions for its health and welfare and will be fed a
suitable diet for its age and condition.
- Will receive
regular booster vaccinations from a veterinary surgeon.
- Will receive all
necessary veterinary care to maintain its good health.
The Purchaser(s)
further understand(s) that if there is a failure to keep any part of this
contract, or if the puppy is neglected, maltreated, or is failing to receive
adequate medical care, the Purchaser will surrender said puppy to the Breeder,
unconditionally and without financial restitution or
compensation. The Transfer of Ownership document and delivery of the puppy will be supplied upon receipt of a signed copy of this document and the relevant payment. The Canadian Kennel Club Certificate of Registration will be given once evidence of spay or neuter has been received by Breeder.
The puppy must be
altered by the age of
eight (8) months if the said puppy has not been altered by the
said time an added fee of $500.00 will be levied to the purchaser for not
fulfilling this contract.
I understand and
accept that at no time will I attempt to breed from ___________ without prior
written agreement from ______________ (Breeder).
This contract
contains the entire agreement between the parties and no statement, promises or
inducements made by either party that is not contained in this written contract
shall be valid or binding. This
contract may not be modified or altered except in writing signed by both parties
and endorsed herein.
It is the intention of this contract to promote, advance and perpetuate the integrity of the Miniature Pinscher breed and to protect the interest of both the breeder and the purchaser. Purchaser agrees that this contract is legal and binding. Any disputes that cannot be settled between the Breeder and Purchaser will be settled in the courts of the Province of British Columbia.
